The future of Australian science is too important to be left to chance.

Science & Technology Australia will take a critical look at the health of science in Australia and outline how we are faring on the global stage in its inaugural State of Science Report.

The Report will explore the reality of the industry to determine where Australia sits in the G20 on science investment and output, and where we will be on that scale over the next decade as emerging nations like China and India make unprecedented investment in science and technology.

Strengths in Australian science and technology will be identified, as well as the challenges and gaps that keep the industry from excelling.

The inaugural Science & Technology Australia State of Science Report will be released in the first quarter of 2012.
