In 2019 the AGTA conference returns to Melbourne where it all began in 2001.
From the early days of microarrays in 2001 when Australian scientists were given their first glimpse at genome-wide transcription in cells and tissues we can now rapidly DNA sequence entire genomes, deeply interrogate RNA expression and profile epigenetic landscapes at single nucleotide resolution and even in individual cells.
What a journey it has been and what a truly amazing time it is now to be doing research.
