SETAC-AU is hosting a series of Water Quality Guidelines workshops with the support of the Australian Contaminated Land Consultants of Australia (ACLCA).
The workshops will feature key authors of the Australian and New Zealand Governments Guidelines for Fresh and Marine Water Quality (ANZG 2018, http://www.waterquality.gov.
This full-day workshop in Melbourne, sponsored by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DEWLP, Victorian Government) on 16th May 2019 from 9 am – 5 pm, will focus on educating stakeholders on the recently released ANZG Water Quality Guidelines.
The presenters will provide details of the key features of the revised Guidelines, and help attendees understand how the Guidelines can be used for best-practice water management. Key topics will include (but not be limited to) the use of the national water quality management framework, using weight of evidence for water/sediment quality assessment, deriving and applying default guideline values, a case study, and a tour of the new website.
These workshops will be important capacity building exercises that will benefit all water managers and water regulators.
