Air Vice-Marshal Cath Roberts (retired) was a member of the Royal Australian Air Force for 41 years and was the inaugural Defence Space Commander. She is an aerospace engineer with strong relationships across the Space and Aviation industries in Australia and Internationally. Cath is currently a board member of Australia’s Economic Accelerator, Defence South Australia and the Andy Thomas Space. Cath’s background includes flight test, aircraft maintenance, airworthiness and safety, space operations, design and acquisition of aircraft and space systems, contracting, and diplomatic postings. She is passionate about commercialising Australian research and building export markets in the Space and Aviation industries.
