Helen Wright is a media professional with 35 years’ experience as a television news journalist and in senior editorial roles. She is currently Senior News Producer for Network Ten in Brisbane but has also worked for the Nine and Seven networks. Helen spent five years in the communications industry too, most recently as Communications Manager for Griffith University. There she supervised communications services across the key teaching and research disciplines (Sciences, Health, Business and Humanities) as well as associated research centres such as the Institute for Glycomics and the Eskitis Institute for Natural Drug Therapies. Helen has provided strategic media advice and media training for university staff.
Not content with a busy professional life, Helen gained a Master of Science by research in her spare time, mostly for fun. Her area of interest is archaeological sciences within the Australian context.
A Queensland girl at heart, she has also lived in London, Sydney and Tokyo.
