The mission of the School of Agriculture, Biomedicine and Environment at La Trobe University is to
cultivate healthy food, healthy people, and healthy ecosystems through excellence, innovation and
impact in research and education.
Our unique school combines molecular, biological, environmental, chemical and biomedical
sciences, and has more than 120 research groups. Our scale, diversity of disciplines, and regional
connectedness mean we are uniquely positioned to facilitate the multidisciplinary approaches and
coordinated expertise needed to find solutions to complex, multidimensional problems such as food
security, rising chronic and infectious disease, and the impacts of environmental change.
