IMG_1704

Intelligent. Inspiring. Committed. Passionate. Incredible. These are just a few words used to describe our Superstars of STEM.

Our Superstars travelled from across Australia last week to participate in the final workshop of the year – Communicating with Influence.

Awesome, strong, intelligent, supportive and a million other descriptors these #SuperstarsOfSTEM are changing the world! https://t.co/qbut6RzSOJ

They undertook an intensive day of training and participated in a series of activities and practical exercises. These sessions ranged from communicating their expertise through to answering difficult questions and how to network like a pro.

The day wrapped up with a VIP networking event which allowed them to put their newfound skills to the test, and to connect with mentors, parliamentarians, industry leaders, sponsors and Superstars of STEM alumni.

Over the next 12 months, our Superstars will engage in series of school visits, media interviews and other outreach activities aimed at increasing the public profile of women in STEM and being role models for young women and girls.

The Superstars of STEM program would not be possible without our supporting partners – The Australian Government, Brighter, GE, Google, Australian Science Media Centre, STEM Matters, and the Conversation. Thank you to these partners for their ongoing support.

Here are some pics from the networking event.
