Elaine works in the Engineering Operations team at Microsoft, where she helps to improve Microsoft's cloud reliability through risk elimination, and reduction in harm caused by known risk.

Elaine recently started to focus on the health and government space, and has begun working with large customers in these industries to help them create innovative solutions using Microsoft products. This sees her undertaking both architectural design and scoping, as well as hands on coding.

Elaine work with a range of new and exciting technologies, including bots, cognitive services, containers and machine learning. During her career, she has also had a variety of experiences working solo with hands-on technical jobs, through to managing large teams on broader projects.

Throughout Elaine’s career, she has always looking for ways to continue her learning, and in the process has completed 3 formal degrees.

Elaine is passionate about helping people use leading-edge technology to solve business problems and enjoys sharing this passion at local meetups and domestic and international technical conferences.
