The TIA consortium enables and accelerates the translation of research discovery along the therapeutic development pipeline by ensuring world class research infrastructure facilities are accessible to the Australian translational research community.

Established in 2008, Therapeutic Innovation Australia is the lead agent for the NCRIS "Translating Health Discoveries" project funded by the Australian Department of Education, Skills and Employment. TIA invests in people and equipment at national facilities to enable and accelerate translation of health discoveries from the lab to clinical application.

TIA invests in soft and hard infrastructure at national facilities to support and enable access to translational research facilities that can accelerate translation of discoveries from the lab to the clinic. Our consortium members provide a wide range of translational services. TIA works to lower the bar for researchers to access excellent translational research services in the fields of biologics, cell and gene therapies, small molecules and clinical trials.

The NCRIS network supports national research capability through the employment of 1,700 highly skilled experts across 23 facilities. NCRIS facilities are accessed by over 35,000 researchers from academia and industry, within Australia and from overseas.
