Renee Wootton is a proud Tharawal woman and an enthusiastic Aerospace Engineer and Commercial Pilot, who has delivered and led Australian Aviation projects for the past nine years. This work includes improving maintenance practices and on-time-performance, developing algorithms to optimise flight routes, reducing fuel burn in daily operations, and reducing landfill for large passenger jets. Renee is currently a Project Engineer, managing the technical milestones of an upgrade on Australian military aircraft. Renee applies Systems Engineering design principles and processes in order to support global training capabilities and leading-edge simulation technologies for the Australian Military.

With a determined passion to improve the world around her, Renee was recognised in 2018 by the Governor of NSW, Sir David Hurley, as one of the Top 30 Indigenous Leaders of NSW, was a finalist of the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards, Aboriginal Education Award, in 2017 and has been awarded numerous awards by Employers and Educational Institutions, recognising her innovative approach and excellence in Engineering, volunteering, and vision to improve female representation in the Engineering field.
