How to ‘Marie Kondo’ Your Writing | Webinar

writing

Join us for this writing masterclass inspired by the queen of domestic decluttering.

This session will teach the craft of writing well. Glean expert tips on how to declutter – and become a stronger and more persuasive author.

You’ll come away with a clear set of insights to apply straight away in your member communications, opinion pieces, research and public speaking. These include:

  • Learn to spot and banish jargon
  • Ditch reflexive phrases that add clutter and obscure meaning
  • Purge excessive adjectives and minimise acronyms
  • Be your own best sub-editor

Stronger writing skills are essential for anyone who writes to communicate.

CEOs, media teams, policy writers, and science communicators can all benefit from this practical primer.

This webinar will be run by Science & Technology Australia CEO and longtime journalist and speechwriter Misha Schubert.

Duration: 45-60 mins via Zoom
Date: Tuesday 23 June – 11.00AM (AEST)
Cost: STA Members $50.00 (+ GST) and $80 (+ GST) Non-Members
