Alicia has always been passionate about understanding the world around her, a curiosity that fed her early love of Science, and led her to pursue a career in Engineering. For Alicia engineering is the practical application of science, and she has pursued a career in oil and gas to set towards making impactful changes and seeing the real-world results.
Alicia was the Women in Resources National Awards ‘2019 Exceptional Young Woman in Resources’, recognising her significant and ongoing contributions to STEM and her industry. Her career in the oil & gas industry has covered experience in Operations, Maintenance and Commissioning Engineering and provided her a passion and background in Process Safety. Alicia’s current role in turnarounds (shutdowns) enables her to bridge the gap between the site and office employees, planning and executing major maintenance activities on sites in regional Queensland.
Skilled in communication, problem solving, and leadership Alicia is passionate about generating sustainable changes for women in engineering and the broader resources industry. By actively contributing to shifting societal perspectives towards equality, Alicia encourages women to participate in STEM fields at all levels.
