Anne is the Chief Executive Officer of Sementis, leading the development of Australia’s most advanced viral vector vaccine platform. With a PhD in Biochemical Engineering, an MBA and a strong foundation in the business of science, Anne brings over 30 years of international experience in biotherapeutic development and commercialisation. Her career spans scientific, operational and executive leadership roles in start-ups through to multinational organisations. Anne has a track record in creating and realising value from emerging technologies and has built high-performing teams in dynamic, regulated environments. Anne has actively collaborated with academia throughout her career, from co-developing innovative diagnostics and biomanufacturing technologies to transitioning research into commercial pipelines. She previously led Hospira’s contract R&D business, attracting global partnerships to Australia, and has worked with government, universities and start-ups to grow our life sciences ecosystem. Her role at Sementis involves managing global development, regulatory and IP strategies, ensuring the science remains aligned to strategic goals. Anne is also an experienced mentor, including with the Superstars of STEM program and the Industry Mentoring Network in STEM. She brings deep insights into scientific career pathways and commercialisation, and has a passion for supporting entrepreneurial thinkers and building diverse, purpose-driven leadership.
