The Australian Science Communicators is the peak body for science communicators in Australia. Established in 1994, the Australian Science Communicators have grown to a national network including science writers, public information officers for academic and research organisations, scientists, museum professionals, science educators, science film-makers, and many other diverse professions united by the common theme of making science accessible. We are a not-for-profit organisation. Our mission is to provide a platform for science communicators to work and learn from each other while providing a voice for science communicators both nationally and internationally. We view science communication as a crucial and integrated aspect of the Australian science and technology sector, and it is important that the voices and expert skills of our members are available to the community.
