The Centre for Research for Educational Impact (REDI) is a connected, collaborative, and vibrant
research centre that delivers high quality research in education that translates into outcomes that
are relevant and meaningful to our communities.
Education has a central role in building early engagement with science and sustaining that
engagement as students move through the education system. REDI brings together more than 50
internationally renowned academics spanning diverse disciplines in the field of education from early
childhood, primary and secondary school, to vocational and higher education (including teacher
education). Their focus is on a wide range of professional, policy and practise issues that have the
greatest impact on just and sustainable societies. REDI includes a strong program in STEM Education
that has links with science and technology researchers.
